Happy Gilmore is the tale of a would-be hockey player (Adam Sandler) forced to earn money as a professional golfer when his grandmother faces losing her home because of unpaid property taxes. Happy’s unorthodox swing and lack of country club etiquette puts him at odds with other players, but he keeps playing to earn enough to pay grandma’s taxes. Cast includes several recognizable faces, including Carl Weathers (Rocky), Bob Barker (The Price Is Right) and Julie Bowen (Modern Family).
Burn After Reading is a star-studded farce about a CIA analyst (John Malkovich) who is forced to retire and accidently leaves a computer disk containing classified information in his gym locker room. A personal trainer finds the disk and tries to sell it to the Russians to fund cosmetic surgery, creating a series of events that upset the status quo of intertwined marital affairs and minor national security operations. Cast includes Frances McDormand (Fargo), George Clooney, Brad Pitt and many other recognizable faces.
